A Panama City Plumbing Company is Revealing How to Clean a Dishwasher

As you use your dishwasher, pieces of food and other things may get clogged in your dishwasher, which can allow bacteria to grow. Lots of people forget to clean their dishwashers, but for the best performance, your dishwasher needs to be cleaned regularly. Mr. Rooter NWFL, an expert in plumbing repiping, will be discussing how you should clean your dishwasher today.

Firstly, you need to remove the drain filter in your dishwasher so that you can clean it. You will also need to remove the bottom tray. The drain filter is right on the bottom surface of the dishwasher, and it can be removed by turning the filter counterclockwiseTake out all the food pieces and anything else that is in the filter. This can be done by hand or by rinsing the filter

Next, you will need to clean the spray jets on the dishwasher arms. Every dishwasher should have two sets of these, one on the top and one on the bottom. These are used during the dishwashing process to spray out hot water to clean your dishwasher. If they get clogged, your dishwasher will not be as effective. You can use something like a wire hanger piece or a paper clip to clean out the holes on the spray jets.

Next, you will need to clean the inside surface and the door of your dishwasher. You will need to remove everything from your dishwasher first. Then, you will need to make a dishwasher cleaner. We recommend mixing white vinegar and placing it in a bowl on the top section of the dishwasher. Then, run a normal dishwashing cycle. This will clear out odors and stains from your dishwasher.

Finally, to clean up the interior and make it shinier, add a little bit of baking soda to the bottom of the dishwasher. This will also improve the smell. After adding the baking soda, run a short cycle, and then, you are done!

If these tips helped, then hopefully, you would have a clean dishwasher. If you need any other plumbing services, like water heater repair, contact Mr. Rooter NWFL today.
